Role Context:
Low Carbon Regulations
Regulations and policy are driving our client’s projects and the requirements. In our role as advisor, we need to be able to interpret complex policy/legislation and translate into easy to understand concepts which clearly define key relevant points for our clients.
Candidate should be able to demonstrate:
* Experience working in international policy and regulation, with a focus on USA (IRA) and EU policy and its direction within the context of climate law and energy transition;
* Regulatory expertise on renewable fuels certification, legislative compliance requirements, standards, carbon tax, carbon markets, infrastructure and market regulation;
* 3-5 years plus with experience working with clients, projects and/or governments on relevant policy regulations.
Youll be:
* Providing consulting services for all types of low carbon/decarbonisation services across different sectors including refining and petrochemicals, upstream, power and financial community and other energy-intensive industries such as cement, metals processing. Prepare and present net zero roadmaps and low carbon strategies.
* Delivering consulting services to clients during all phases of an engagement, including benchmarking, gap analysis, solution identification, justification, prioritisation, ranking, implementation and close out.
* Supporting Low Carbon/Decarbonisation strategy for regional growth – helping identify new areas for business, new clients or tools.
* Supporting marketing and business development activities and selling consulting engagement of various sizes.
* Meeting and presenting to clients and assisting with the selling process. We operate as a ‘seller-doer’ model – so we sell our own work. A key aspect of the job requires maintaining networks within the industry – both internal and external and proactively supporting sales activities – including client discussions, scope of work developments and discussions, proposals preparation, clarification meetings and negotiations.
* Representing Worley Consulting on low carbon initiatives and the wider Worley Group as needed.
* Preparing and delivering conference papers for delivery at international events.
* Demonstrating technical expertise in one of the roles listed above.
Youll have:
The candidates must demonstrate competency and experience in the following:
* Willingness to work within a ‘sell-do’ model, supporting business development activities, preparing proposals as well as project execution.
* Excellent communication skills including the ability to produce concise reports and presentations appropriate for all levels.
* Strong self-starter and motivated to succeed.
* Identifying new opportunities, leads and maintaining network within the industry.
* Practical consulting experience – including scoping, selling and delivery.
* Significant experience in Decarbonisation/Low Carbon sectors.
* Confidence to work at all levels of a client organisation.
* Desire to expand role and be adaptable to client’s needs.
* Ability to speak a second language (and English) to a level of fluency that supports customers based in EMEA.
* Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
* Good working knowledge of MS Office and relevant tools for the role.
