To ensure that College services and operations across the College are coherent, joined up and provide service excellence for all their customers, both internally and externally. Lead College services in a way which are fully aligned to the College’s strategic vision and which actively seek customer insight to drive service delivery and improvement. Key Responsibilities: Ensure a robust and effective technology infrastructure is in place alongside clear business continuity and recovery plans and preventative maintenance Lead in the planning and development of the IT infrastructure and ensure that IT resources across the College are accessible, maintained and fit for purpose. Ensure delivering of an effective and efficient IT service to all customers with a culture of customer service, promoting an approachable ‘can do’ attitude Ensure risks associated with IT infrastructure are minimised Continually analyse systems in use and identify cost or efficiency savings Manage the IT capital and revenue budgets, ensuring value for money is maintained and financial regulations met Responsible for the cyber security of the college and to ensure that the college meets recognised Cyber Security standards. Develop and lead a clear and compelling digital strategy for the College, which is in service of the College’s vision and plans Manage the relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance against service level agreements Lead on the assessment and development of new technologies Provide expert advice to our SMT and Corporation Board on matters to support the implementation of College strategy, best practice and the management of risk. To lead on ensuring that College services and curriculum areas are digitally enabled, maximising connectivity, collaborative working and opportunities for the future. To attend Board (as required) To actively lead and promote the College Values Lead on the development and implementation of effective people strategies, including talent, engagement and development, management, organisational development, employee engagement and development, pay and reward. Provide inspirational leadership to senior colleagues, colleagues and peers in building a culture where people operate openly and transparently to face change and challenge positively.
