Commissioning Manager / Engineer - Electrical Role About us Imagine The Future Consulting Ltd (ITF) was started by Mark Sathyaseelan, established in 2007; is a fast growing, dynamic and developing commissioning engineering consultancy. We still consider ourselves as a start-up and have a start-up philosophy currently. We work in the Data Center industry and offer commissioning services to our clients across EMEA. These include programmatic commissioning design development to physical execution as the client commissioning agents (currently operating in at least 5 countries across EMEA). We often are involved with trouble shooting existing projects and we have a number of blue chip clients. We have developed our own in house planning software for large construction projects which can be used for both Construction and Commissioning. A background in Commissioning ideally in the data center industry or other mission critical or similar services sector is highly desirable. The role requires a strong technical background - Mechanical, Electrical or Controls as part of an integrated team. The ideal candidate will need to support other team members as part of the project delivery model. Main Responsibility Overview (but not limited to): Work as part of a team on a project reporting to the lead commissioning Manager. Manage and liaise with multiple stakeholders including client, GCs, vendors and operational teams. Direct client facing. Authoring of testing plans and scripts. Witness and run testing at Factory locations with vendors. Witness and run testing on site through Levels 3 and 4. With other team members, run integrated system testing (IST). Review Commissioning Schedules. Have input projects specific commissioning plans. Attend key meetings with the Lead Commissioning Manager as required. Attend other key meetings with other stakeholders as required. Actively seek out solutions to technical problems that occur at a project level. Undertake commissionability reviews as part of a wider team. Specific to the Role: Electrical Role - Review of / commissioning / witnessing: Factory Testing, Load banking, LV/MV electrical systems, switchgear, EPMS / SCADA, ATSs, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Systems. Locations Required: London (may be required to travel to other locations within Europe upon agreement for factory testing). Requirements, Experience and Qualifications A minimum of 5-10 years of commissioning experience, Data Center preferred however other industry sectors would also be considered (ideally mission critical). Have a strong discipline background (Mechanical, Electrical or Controls). Having previous experience related to your discipline and or specific qualifications is advantageous. Be prepared to travel in Europe to factory testing sites and other key projects. Where travel is necessary we promote weekly travel based on Monday to Friday depending on the project. Be able to use video conferencing on a regular basis to communicate with the lead / director and other team members / clients. ITF will provide onboarding and support to get fully up to speed. We will also provide the necessary technical support as required through any of the projects.
