Job Description:
This post is full time, 35 hours per week and is fixed term until 30 June 2027. The post can be considered as a job share or carried out on a part-time or flexible basis. The position offers flexibility, including options for hybrid working and other arrangements.
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral research fellow to join the Transport and Mobilities Research Group at the University of Westminster. This position is associated with the "JUST STREETS" research project, funded by Horizon Europe. If you are passionate about developing streets that prioritize active mobility, safety, sustainability, and inclusivity for all citizens, this opportunity is for you.
The JUST STREETS project aims to help cities promote and enhance just, equal, and active mobility by developing and implementing innovative, holistic strategies. These strategies are designed to encourage transformative urban planning solutions supported by behavioral changes.
Our team specifically works on WP2 which aims at collecting, elaborating and reshaping the most innovative, advanced and successful approaches for guiding the cities in their pathway to sustainable safe and active mobility. Each task explores a key aspect through a common scheme based on state of the art review and synthetic repository of the most promising approaches, as a practical guideline for cities: a dedicated workshop presents the results and trains the practitioners on each task’s specific topic.
Our team will also support the Cross River Partnership in London, as a technical partner in developing with local partners three interventions in Camden Town Unlimited (Business Improvement District), London Borough of Lambeth and Harley Street Business Improvement District.
