The post holder will also provide advice, guidance and support to patients with a Mesothelioma cancer diagnosis across Wales virtually and work closely with the National Mesothelioma Multi-Professional Team and Mesothelioma UK to support patients across Wales and develop services. Main duties of the job Patient/Clinical Care Keyworker for Mesothelioma patient caseload within CTMUHB. Provide specialist care for patients with Mesothelioma Cancer recognising the needs of the individual and providing support, information, education and counselling for patients, their families and carers, to ensure they have an understanding of all elements of their cancer journey, in a format which suites their needs. Will regularly deal with distressing or emotional circumstances, imparting difficult news and supporting terminally ill patients and their families. Will assess, plan, implement and evaluate clinical care of patients/clients.
