About the opportunity:
We are the internal recruitment partner for a local well-established manufacturing company within the events industry. Due to the continued growth and success, we have an exciting opportunity for an Exhibition Stand Builder to join the team in Washingley, Peterborough.
Responsibilities:
1. Constructing and assembling exhibition stands according to client specifications, including carpentry work, joinery, and other relevant tasks using various materials and tools.
2. Delivering, installing, and removing stands at event venues both nationally and internationally, which will require staying away.
3. Working closely with colleagues and external contractors to complete works to a high standard.
4. Maintaining the highest standards of work, quality, and health & safety.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Carpenter / Stand Builder is essential.
2. Experience within the exhibition/events industry is desirable.
3. Full UK Driving Licence (must be aged 25+ for insurance purposes).
4. Highly organised with a keen eye for detail.
5. Able to work regular overtime outside of standard working hours and stay away as per business needs, including international travel.
6. Physically able to lift heavy objects and handle power tools.
Salary and Benefits:
1. A basic salary of up to £30,000 dependent on experience plus regular overtime paid at time and a half.
2. Working hours: Monday-Friday with flexibility between the hours of 08:00-16:30.
3. 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with annual leave increasing with service; 1 day after 1 year and a further 2 days after 5 years.
