Copywriter, Christian Charity, Oxfordshire c£20 – £25k + benefits
Fantastic new opportunity exists for an experienced Copywriter to join this brilliant international charity based in their Oxfordshire offices. Reporting to a Senior Copywriter and working closely with the communications and marketing teams, you will write and coordinate creative and inspiring copy for a wide range of digital and print platforms to grow awareness of the charity’s work, reach new audiences, and increase existing supporters’ engagement and loyalty to the organisation. As part of their Supporter Engagement directorate, you will take part in all tasks associated with mass communications to supporters and new audiences, through a variety of channels. Key responsibilities include:
* Assist in the research and writing of the charity’s printed materials, direct marketing, and fulfilment copywriting, including their magazine, campaign resources, direct mail, and other written materials where directed.
* Write inspirational and topical content for digital communications, including web, email, social media, and other media, on time, on brief, and on brand, to reach new audiences, grow loyalty, and generate active support for the charity.
* Generate original creative concepts and content work across digital, film, and print platforms, working closely with design to project managers’ briefs.
* Carry out updates to the charity’s website where appropriate and ensure a coordinated approach with other internal/external communications materials.
* Maintain consistency across communications platforms and ensure all content used is of the highest standard and complies with the charity’s values, security requirements, and brand guidelines.
* Work cooperatively with the Operational team and internal departments to ensure content is delivered on time and to a high standard.
The nature of the position means that there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 that the post holder will be a committed and practising Christian in addition to your excellent Copywriting skills. You will be degree qualified in English, Journalism, Media or Marketing Communications (or similar) and have demonstrable experience of writing for a digital online audience, with solid experience in copywriting and content creation. You are highly organised and proficient in writing for a variety of communications channels including print, digital, and marketing with an excellent grasp of Word and PowerPoint. Skills in the Adobe Creative Suite are also highly desired. Knowledge of Christian media and relevant charity and secular media and publications would be very helpful.
This is a fixed term full-time contract for 12 months, with a salary dependent upon experience up to c£25,000 + benefits.
