Campus Services Paisley / Ayr / Lanarkshire with travel to Dumfries Permanent THE POST - Catering Operations Manager As part of Campus Services team, the Catering Operations Manager will play a critical role in the leadership, development and delivery of catering services and hospitality across all campuses, with ability to maximise income and increase quality. They will support the Senior Operations Manager in delivering excellence in the student experience across the catering and hospitality service. The Catering Operations Manager will be involved in building and developing strong working relationships with the team across our UWS sites. Ensuring the ongoing development of staff to enable them to deliver a high quality of professional service to the key stakeholders and clients of the University. The post will involve travelling between all Scottish campuses with occasional travel to London, to liaise with the Unit Managers and implement clear strategic plans to ensure excellent operation of services across all sites. The successful candidate should have the following: Diploma or equivalent in advanced food hygiene Full current driving licence Professional qualification relevant to the area of work or membership of a related body A proven track record of working in a commercially driven, customer orientated Catering environment with significant and relevant leadership, team and change management experience Experience of leading a large team of catering and hospitality professionals across different sites Strong interpersonal, communication and people management skills Sound understanding of database application to sales and stock control through EPOS systems Working knowledge of budget management and resource planning ABOUT US The University of the West of Scotland is one of Scotland’s largest and most dynamic modern universities.
