Hours: 40 hours a week – Monday to Friday (8.30 until 5 pm)

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to assist the Roofing Technician to complete all repair and improvement work safely, efficiently, and to client satisfaction. You will communicate effectively with internal office staff, colleagues, managers, and customers, as well as performing other duties as appropriate to the job level, including providing support to colleagues as directed by the manager.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Providing a reactive maintenance service to the retail sector; roofing maintenance work experience in a retail environment is essential, with plumbing experience being advantageous.
2. Assessing the requirements of works and carrying out repairs as necessary.
3. Prioritising maintenance and repair works to achieve agreed timescales and response times for our clients.
4. The position may require an element of travel across the contract in all regions.
5. IT literacy and use of tablet technology is essential for updating and completing works administration.
6. High level of customer service skills are key to this role due to significant client and customer interaction.
7. A flexible attitude towards working hours is required due to the nature of the contract and client’s needs.
8. A can-do attitude with a high degree of problem-solving skills and behaviours should be evident.
9. A clean current driving licence is essential for the position.
Candidates background & experience:
1. Suitable candidates should be experienced in 2 of the following disciplines – roofing, joinery, plumbing, plastering, tiling, groundworks, or glazing.
2. Experience in other maintenance roles would be advantageous although not essential as training will be provided.
3. Health & Safety certificates and experience (e.g., CSCS, SPA, IPAF, PASMA) would be an advantage.
4. Good communication skills (written and verbal).
5. Ability to work at heights and be competent in the use of steps and ladders.
