Heat Pump Engineer (Mobile) Permanent, full time position Salary - £18-18.50 per hour plus door to door payments (paid travel time) Working hours - 40 or 45 hour contracts available (depending on individual preference) with optional overtime available and on call requirements. Company van provided (with private use available) We are looking for an experienced Heat Pump Engineer to join a growing team at a successful Facilities Management and Building Services company. The Heat Pump Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality installation, servicing, and repair of heat pump systems in domestic properties. Duties will include: Installation: Install air source heat pumps in residential properties. Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines. Perform pre-installation assessments and assist in system design if required. Servicing and Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of heat pump systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation. Conduct diagnostic tests to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Breakdown and Repairs: Respond promptly to breakdown calls, troubleshoot and repair faulty systems efficiently. Diagnose issues such as electrical faults, refrigerant leaks, or performance inefficiencies. Ensure a high first-time fix rate to minimize inconvenience to the customer. Qualifications/ Experience for this role will include: NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, Heating, or equivalent qualification (Essential) CSCS card or similar certification (Essential) Heat Pump Manufacturer’s Training (e.g. Mitsubishi, Daikin) - Desirable City & Guilds 6187 in Heat Pump Installation and Maintenance. Electrical qualifications (desirable) G3 Unvented. (desirable) Driving Licence (Full UK) Proven experience in installing, servicing, and repairing heat pump systems in domestic properties (Essential) Experience with air source heat pumps (Essential) Customer Interaction: Provide clear, professional communication to customers about the work being carried out, any issues found, and how they are being resolved. Offer advice on system usage and energy efficiency. Requirements: Strong understanding of heating systems. NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, Heating, or equivalent qualification. Experience and/or interest in air source heat pumps preferred but not essential.
