Job summary We are looking for Registered General Nurses with an interest in Gynaecology, who feel that they can compliment our friendly, conscientious and caring team of nurses. Orchard Gynaecology ward is a 10 bedded inpatient unit caring for gynaecology patients. It is a small friendly unit, providing physical and emotional support and a high standard of nursing care. We have a fast turnover of patients and pride ourselves on receiving excellent feedback from the friends and family test. A flexible working approach and ability to deal with the sensitive nature of women's health is required. This is an ideal post for someone already experienced in Gynaecology or someone who wants to take their first steps into women's health. Main duties of the job As a Band 5 Registered Nurse you will be caring for patients with a wide variety of gynaecological conditions, who receive medical and surgical treatments. We have both routine elective admissions and a direct emergency assessment pathway. We also care for women with problems in early pregnancy and offer a termination service. You would need to be a committed individual able to work within the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective delivery of a high quality patient experience, with a flexible approach and the ability to deal with the sensitive nature of women's health.
