Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Industrial Process Engineer to support our customer Sainsbury’s. Being based out of Northampton, with travel to other sites in the network when required, you will analyse and evaluate site wide activity to recommend and implement changes that deliver savings while supporting the introduction and integration of new equipment, processes and products. This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 however, we do ask for some flexibility in the hours when support is needed for the sites and operations. Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day: Communicate opportunities and working with the operations teams to develop the most efficient ways to use machines, materials, information and energy to make a product or service Work in partnership with CI and operations to promote a cost focussed approach to all activity across the site Regularly monitor and review existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and assist in establishing new SOP’s Complete SMV studies and reports to baseline, productivities in line with the company budget parameters What you need to succeed at GXO: Knowledge and use of SMV models is advantageous Qualified industrial engineer Strong Knowledge of warehouse management systems and warehouse labour management Able to summarise and present projects to senior management in a clear and concise manner We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
