This role presents an excellent opportunity to work with fabricators and suppliers to ensure the highest quality standards in quality assurance processes across a variety of operations.
As a Junior QA Inspector, you will be responsible for managing quality assurance procedures, conducting detailed inspections, and collaborating closely with internal teams to drive continuous improvement. You will also play a key role in corrective action initiatives and root-cause analysis to enhance quality standards across the supply chain.
This is a permanent position with UK-wide and international travel requirements, offering flexibility and variety in the work environment.
This role is ideal for professionals within the manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, oil & gas, and industrial fabrication sectors, particularly those with expertise in welding procedures, fabrication standards, and compliance auditing.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with fabricators to ensure compliance with quality, engineering drawings, and welding conformance.
* Conduct thorough inspections and testing on components, assemblies, and large-scale projects.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and welding symbols.
* Assist in the creation and improvement of QA/QC documentation, including control plans, checklists, and test procedures.
* Collaborate with relevant teams and stakeholders to promptly address quality concerns and implement solutions.
* Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to welding and fabrication standards.
* Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and oversee corrective action implementation.
* Assist in internal and external audits, compiling reports and making recommendations for improvement.
* Provide expertise on welding procedures, material selection, and repair methods.
Key Requirements
* Knowledge of ASME.
* Strong understanding of fabrication.
* Experience in welding procedures.
* Ability to read technical drawings and interpret welding symbols.
* Experience providing leadership and support to internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with teams across different locations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is beneficial.
* Flexibility for UK and international travel.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
