Senior Management Accountant
Location: Warrington (Hybrid, 3 days in, 2 days remote)
Salary: £45,000–£55,000

This World Leading Construction and industrial business is looking to appoint a talented Management Accountant with hunger to progress in this medium sized finance team, with further development opportunities across the business nationally and internationally. The business was established over 20 years ago and is a world leader in their field. The role reports into a high achieving Head of Finance and great mentor to someone who has qualified in the recent past.
About the Role
The role requires a Management Accountant with strong management accounts experience who is willing to roll their sleeves up and deal with the basics but capable of doing much more. This will be a pivotal role within the Finance Team and wider business. The Management Accountant will be responsible for producing timely, accurate and relevant management accounts to set timescales. They are responsible for ensuring that all areas within the finance team are reconciled and closed off before they produce the accounts and are accountable for the numbers they share with the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own and produce end to end management accounts and associated reporting pack
2. Detailed analysis of variances to budget and forecasts
3. Stock and Stock adjustment reconciliations
4. Produce and oversee production of the monthly accruals and prepayments
5. Balance sheet reconciliations
6. Assisting with the year end audit preparation
7. Reconciliation of the intercompany accounts
8. Rolling P&L forecasting including integrated working capital model
9. Assisting with the annual Budget cycle and quarterly reforecast
10. Rolling Cashflow forecasting
11. Business partnering
Person Profile
1. ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified
2. Construction, Industrial, Contract environment experience would be preferable
3. Strong IT skills
4. Excellent organisational and planning skills
5. Self-starter who is flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
6. Has excellent communication skills and the confidence to question peers
7. Able to work on own initiative
8. Experience working in a fast paced environment
9. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
10. A positive attitude to work
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
12. Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
13. A team player who can support others in the team
