An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Procurement Officer (HR & Professional Services) to join the Procurement department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. About the role Management of the Indirect Procurement supply base to ensure effective supply of products and services delivered correct to specification, to schedule and at minimum cost to support a multi programme demand. What you will do Responsible for the on-time delivery of products and services, for new and existing requests in conjunction with Key Stakeholders; Create and report against Product/Category/Commodity/Programme procurement strategy gaining consensus with internal and external stakeholders; Support for Internal Business Departments with estimates and costings for internal budgetary proposals; Preparation and issue of tenders; Carry out commercial negotiations, for indirect procurement requirements covering goods and services including commercial agreements for services as well as cost; To achieve cost reductions ensuring internal budgets are delivered within target and able to meet financial goals and report versus target on a monthly basis. Supplier selection and nomination in conjunction with supplier quality assurance team and inline with the complex requirements of internal stakeholders; Working with ERP system to raise purchase orders and ensure on time delivery; Cost and budget leadership, by providing clear and accurate data & creating reports for Senior Management; Report procurement status to key internal stake holders and senior management; To lead a significant programme of work specifically Indirect Procurement on behalf of the Procurement team, being responsible for all aspects of procurement performance; Complete any commercial checks for suppliers including- Implementation of NDA’s and T’s and C’s with supplier in conjunction with the WAE Legal Team; Responsible for resolving any invoice queries arising from PO’s; Responsible for conducting supplier assessment audits with supplier quality assurance team & Key Stakeholders to identify potential new suppliers capable of supplying to WAE requirements; Creation and development of supplier performance data and working with Key Stakeholders to ensure effective supplier development plans are in place and measures executed; Develop improvement plans with suppliers who fail to meet business requirements; Chair regular business reviews with key suppliers ensuring strategic alignment is achieved; Follow the Purchasing Procedures of the company and maintain the working environment to levels consistent within the company; Create, develop and continuously improve the business procurement processes and procedures within a multi programme environment; Take a leading role within the team to support the personal development of graduate/new starter staff; The post holder will undertake other duties as may be required to achieve the Company’s objectives, commensurate with the grading of the post. About you Sufficient procurement experience in indirect procurement, specifically for the HR & Professional Services categories Experience in creating and delivering complex multi-vendor strategies Ability to review and understand technical specifications, proposals and commercial analysis; Awareness of SQA requirements & standards; Excellent problem-solving skills; Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure, in a controlled manner; Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; Strong data driven and visual reporting skills, ensuring quantified status and risk is communicated; Excellent negotiation and influencing skills; Supplier visits are part of the role, so a clean driving license is essential. The ability to retain and manage strong relationships internally and externally; What is in it for you?
