A Development Support Engineer, who will be delivery focused, diligent, resilient, pragmatic and able to context switch in fast pace environments.
The Back Office Members department is vital to the continued success of the Business operations, having responsibility for developing and supporting a number of critical tools. The team are responsible for critical Business tooling including account management, bet placement, verification, payments, responsible gambling and more behind our cutting-edge platforms.
You will work alongside other teams within software development, ensuring optimal performance and availability of global-scale Business critical production systems.
Drawing on collective experience, industry best practise, bespoke services and tooling, the development support team collaboratively administer and operate production platforms.
This is a full stack team where the core skills are .Net, typescript and Golang, with Windows and Linux operating systems. We use custom-built CI and CD pipelines to deliver hundreds of production releases each day.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Delivery and results focused, with strong written and verbal communication skills, of both technical and non-technical subjects with an ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical issues.
* Process orientated with good time management and scheduling skills.
* Ability to manage parallel work streams and be comfortable with context switching.
* Passionate about the Software Development Lifecycle and associated technology.
* Proactive in identifying areas of improvement within current processes and driving change.
* Experience with both Windows and Linux based operating systems including Rhel, or with Ubuntu.
* Understanding of code repository and source control management, preferably Git.
* Understanding of networks.
* Knowledge of Splunk, Elk, Grafana, Jenkins and Jira.
* Understanding of Python, SQL or similar languages.
Main Responsibilities
* Creating automated scripting to deprecate manual tasks.
* Managing code repositories and automated systems.
* Forecasting of systems and capacity management.
* Provisioning and tuning of the server.
* Implementing, maintaining and reviewing monitoring systems.
* Actioning alerts and completing initial triage of issue.
* Updating stakeholders on the status of issues and high priority inflight works.
* Planning operations and risk management.
