ACCOUNT MANAGER
LOCATION: CULLOMPTON, DEVON
SALARY: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 + BONUS + TRAINING + BENEFITS
Due to the securing of new contracts and an increase in overall business performance, my client is looking to add to their Sales team with the addition of an Account Manager, focusing on the retention of large accounts. The client is a well-known manufacturer and services clients nationwide.
We are looking for an ambitious individual with good customer service experience and the ability to grasp mechanical systems and equipment. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft a successful and rewarding future in a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be office-based, but travel is required to client sites - typically this will be 3 or 4 times per month.
THE ROLE:
1. Looking after clients, ensuring they remain satisfied with the service and coordinating their maintenance requirements.
2. Sales element to the role; you will be expected to upsell products and services to the clients within your responsibility - you are incentivized for this.
3. Help and resolve technical issues directly with the client - over the phone if basic, otherwise liaise with the engineers for more complex issues.
4. Visit clients nationally where required to hold meetings and oversee any works taking place. This will only be for, on average, 3 days per month.
5. Ensure the subcontractor network is competent, assist with building and maintaining this to adequate levels.
6. Responsible for account retention and renewal.
7. Implement QC measures.
8. Produce required documentation for both clients and the engineering team.
THE PERSON:
1. Customer service experience.
2. Good communication skills.
3. Ability to understand mechanical systems and equipment; will be trained on their actual products. Previous experience in an Engineering and Manufacturing environment is therefore beneficial.
4. Would really suit someone who has been a plumber or heating engineer but no longer wishes to be hands-on.
5. Willing to stay away where required - 3/4 times per month.
