Direct & Bank New Business Intern
We are looking for a Direct & Bank New Business Sales Support Intern to join our Canary Wharf-based Bank & New Business department on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Regional Manager - South and Midlands, you will be responsible for supporting the entire sales process with the Head of Direct & Bank Distribution and the major New Business team to ensure a successful on target result.
What you will do:
* To liaise with other departments internally regarding New Business proposals.
* Request outstanding information from prospects.
* Present information in a concise way both internally and externally.
* Prepare traffic light reports for large new business cases.
* Provide weekly/monthly statistics for internal customers.
* Assist in the quote process.
* Assist with meeting preparation including internet research, PowerPoint presentations, prospect information packs.
* Assist in the co-ordination and monitoring of meeting deadlines.
* Research data and sectors for prospecting.
* Preparation of submissions to underwriting.
What you will bring:
* Outgoing personality with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and drive to learn.
* Appropriate experience in Professional Services.
* Knowledge of the credit insurance market.
* Good organisational skills.
* Strong team player.
* Educated to A level standard or Equivalent preferable but not essential.
* Ability to use Copernicus system preferable but not essential.
* Understanding of IRP system preferable but not essential.
* Strong skills in Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
