Title: Payroll Manager
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Job Type: Hybrid – 2 days from home
JGA are delighted to be working with a successful accountancy practice looking to add a Payroll Specialist to its team!
Responsibilities include:
1. Deliver high quality, accurate payroll processing for clients
2. Preparation of BACS schedules and payments
3. Ensure all RTI submissions are made
4. Input and reconcile payroll data
5. Identify opportunities for process improvements
6. Act as central point of contact for clients and employees
7. Complete the End of Year statutory returns
8. Resolve HMRC enquiries on behalf of clients
9. Liaise with internal managers with regard to their active clients
10. Keep up to date with changes in payroll and pension legislation
Desirable skills & experience:
1. Experience of bureau payroll software
2. Excellent knowledge and understanding of Auto-Enrolment
3. Possesses a ‘can do’ attitude with great problem-solving skills
4. Effective communication skills
5. Proven ability to work effectively in a team
6. Strong attention to detail
7. Graduate calibre with CIPP or equivalent qualification
