The Role
The Lettings Negotiator will play a pivotal role in managing the rental process for prospective tenants while supporting landlords in securing high-quality occupants. This position requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, negotiating deals and tenancy executions are seamless.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with prospective tenants, conducting property viewings and providing expert guidance throughout the rental process.
* Negotiate tenancy agreements between landlords and tenants, ensuring all parties are satisfied.
* Maintain strong relationships with landlords, providing market insights, rental valuations, and professional advice to maximize returns.
* Ensure all tenancy agreements adhere to current legal and regulatory requirements, including right-to-rent checks and due diligence.
* Support in the coordination of marketing efforts, assisting with property listings, photography, and online promotions to attract potential tenants.
* Work closely with the sales and property management teams to ensure a seamless transition between tenancies.
What We’re Looking For
* Sales & Negotiation: Strong ability to negotiate tenancy agreements and close deals effectively.
* Customer Service: Passion for delivering an exceptional client experience.
* Organisation: Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Communication: Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills.
* Market Knowledge: Understanding of the lettings market and industry regulations.
* Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with property management software and digital marketing tools is a plus.
Qualifications and Experience
* Previous experience in a lettings negotiator role or a sales/customer-facing environment is desirable but not essential.
* Strong IT skills, including experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
* A full UK driving licence.
