Volunteer to help Sue Ryder be there when it matters. As a Retail Customer Service Brand Ambassador Volunteer in our Abbeydale Sue Ryder charity shop at the Glevum Shopping Centre, you will be one of the store’s friendly faces who will help us to provide the best customer experience whilst playing an important role in raising funds for our charity work.
We are looking for volunteers who have a real interest in our work and who are passionate about Sue Ryder to educate and have real conversations with our supporters in local community shops.
The Role – Retail Customer Service Brand Ambassador Volunteer:
1. To engage and inspire donors, customers and volunteers through sharing stories about Sue Ryder and our work whilst also helping raise awareness about Sue Ryder.
2. Have informative and meaningful conversations with people to increase awareness of the care and support Sue Ryder provides and how this helps people and their families.
3. Provide relevant information on the different ways individuals can support us through gift aid, making donations and how they can benefit.
4. Thank people who visit our shops and support us.
5. Customer service on shop floor.
6. Supporting other volunteers with customer support.
7. Sharing best practice with other stores.
How we will support you in this role:
1. Training & ongoing development will be given to enable you to talk confidently about our work in both Retail & Healthcare through our campaigns & fundraising activity.
2. We will provide you with dedicated weekly support and guidance.
3. We will provide you with the information and resources you will need to signpost individuals to our Online Bereavement Support.
