In this role, you will support the Senior Accountant and play a key part in credit control, while also contributing to process improvement and innovation within the finance team. An Enhanced DBS on the update service is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Billing Operations: Organise the billing timetable, prepare invoices, and help improve billing systems to enhance efficiency.
Credit Control: Lead credit control efforts, ensuring alignment with company policies and escalating issues when necessary.
Debtor Reporting: Provide weekly debtor reports with KPIs and actionable commentary for the Senior Leadership Team.
Direct Debit Management: Maintain the direct debit system and resolve related queries as they arise.
Bank Transactions: Handle daily bank transactions and perform monthly reconciliations.
Parent Queries: Administer and respond to parent queries via email and phone.
Claims Calculation: Calculate claims and ensure they are compliant with relevant legislation.
Month-End Procedures: Assist with month-end tasks, including journals for accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
Bookkeeping Support: Work with the Finance Assistant on tasks such as processing supplier invoices and reconciliations.
Statutory Audit Support: Collaborate with the Senior Accountant during the annual statutory audit.
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 AAT qualified (or actively studying towards an accountancy qualification)
Experience: Ideally 5+ years in a similar role
Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, organisational skills, and keen attention to detail
Enhanced DBS: Must be on the update service for child workforce
