The Chapman Barker unit as part of the Addictions Services (In-Patient Services) is looking for 1 x full time (37.5 hours) fixed term contract for the post of STR Recovery Worker (band 3).
You will work within the Therapy team on the Chapman Barker Unit.
The Chapman Barker Unit is a 34 bedded unit providing alcohol and substance misuse detox to adults (18 years plus). We offer a full therapeutic programme of groups and individual work alongside planned detox to patients with complex physical, mental and social needs and work with Acute Hospital Services across Greater Manchester offering rapid access to alcohol detox (RADAR).
The Therapy Team require a dynamic individual who has an interest and positive attitude to working within substance misuse services in a Therapy setting. The post holder should be prepared to pro-actively contribute to the therapy and ward environment, as part of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team.
o work directly with service users to provide Support, and give Time to engage them in their Recovery and promote health and well being in line with their care plan, under the direction of the Line Manager/Senior Practitioner on duty.
