Your Role
As a Transport Planning Lead, you will support and enable the Bus Team at TfGM to design and plan bus services in Greater Manchester to deliver better bus services for passengers in the most cost effective manner. In this role, you will take a data led approach to make recommendations for service improvements, which may include contributing to large scale network reviews. You will take a leading role in responding to queries and requests from customers and key stakeholders including local politicians and you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and databases.

Who are we?
You will play an important part in a Bus Team that are currently working towards delivering Greater Manchester’s vision for the future bus network as part of Bus Franchising and the Mayor’s integrated transport plans. The Bus team’s mission is to work towards a franchised bus system which represents better value for money for the city-region and a better service for passengers. A franchised bus network is a better proposition for passengers, as it enables the city-region to plan services in the interests of the communities they serve, with customer-focussed targets around performance and reliability built into franchised contracts. Furthermore, you will be joining a friendly and welcoming team that will provide you with opportunities to further develop your skills and experience.
