With daily support from experienced practitioners and GSL’s specialist team, you will build the classroom expertise and portfolio evidence essential for future QTS pathways. About the Role: In this graduate–focused supply position, you will experience the full spectrum of teaching life while retaining the flexibility to develop your craft. Covering lessons across a range of subjects, you will deliver engaging learning, maintain high expectations, and cultivate a purposeful climate for progress. Key Responsibilities: Deliver pre–planned lessons and adapt activities to meet diverse learner needs. Uphold consistent behaviour standards, using restorative approaches to secure a positive learning environment. Provide timely feedback that propels pupils towards their academic targets. Collaborate with department staff to refine resources and share best practices. Model professional conduct and safeguard the welfare of every student. Reflect on each day’s successes and challenges, using mentoring sessions to refine your pedagogy. Job Requirements: Recent bachelor’s degree (2:2 or above) in any discipline. Genuine ambition to pursue Qualified Teacher Status or a related training route. Energy, resilience, and the ability to inspire learners aged 11–16. Confidence to manage a classroom independently, supported by clear school policies. Excellent verbal and written communication, underpinned by strong literacy and numeracy (minimum GCSE English & Maths at grade C/4). Prior tutoring, mentoring, camp, leading or school–based experience is advantageous but not essential. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
