Job Description
An established law firm in Epping is looking for a dedicated Legal Secretary to support their busy Property Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional team, assisting in the smooth running of property transactions and providing essential administrative support.
Role Details:
* Provide general secretarial support to the Property team (one fee earner and one experienced secretary!)
* Key tasks include:
o Typing and drafting correspondence, documents, and reports
o Managing and organising case files and documents
o Preparing and formatting legal documentation
o Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other professionals
o Managing client appointments and meetings
o Organising and maintaining the filing system
o Assisting with property transaction procedures, including completion and exchange
o Handling phone calls, messages, and queries efficiently
o Performing general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within property law (2-3 years)
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software (experience with case management systems is a plus)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy workload
* Professional and proactive approach to client care
* A positive, team-oriented attitude
