The Building Design Unit encompasses architectural design services and hard facilities management services. The Property Standards Team forms part of the Building Design Unit and has been created to provide accurate, responsive and trusted information relating to statutory, utility and contractual responsibilities on behalf of clients, service colleagues and contractors.
Reporting directly to the Property Standards Team Leader you will have the responsibility for providing expertise in the compilation, retention and organisation of technical information required to provide an efficient building design / Council asset database relating primarily to contractual and statutory information.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, collecting and accurately storing a wide range of technical information including on site tasks in certain Council wide properties.
You will have an HND or equivalent in Building Technology, Business Administration or Information Technology. Ideally, you will have appropriate post qualification experience in a related environment carrying out one of the fields noted above. In addition you will have well developed IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of fellow colleagues, client services and external contractors.
