This is a list of general duties, please refer to the attached documentation for a full description of the role - Maintain a professional portfolio, identifying role and skill developments in line with the NMC Code of professional practice.- Keep up to date with current national developments in nursing practice and policy - Ensure NMC revalidation requirements are met - To contribute to PCN wide/departmental policies, procedures and guidelines - Maintain a professional appearance in line with the Burnley West PCN dress code - Uphold Burnley West PCN values and behaviours and behave in a manner fitting with the responsible position of the post holder, maintaining public confidence and reputation for delivering excellent care - Maintain professional working relationships with staff and respect the equality and diversity of each and every person he/she comes into contact with in the course of his/her business. - Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a Community Link Nurse (or other registered care professional dependent on setting) with a focus on promoting health and independence - Have proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with NHS Values - Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual - Carry out specific delegated clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction and supervision of Community Link Nurses or other registered care professionals dependent on setting-· Work within clearly defined accountability frameworks and boundaries of limitation to provide the best possible care in partnership with colleagues, patients and their carers - Develop and improve personal practical and theoretical knowledge, competence and skills and maintain a portfolio of evidence - Contribute towards developing a culture of learning and innovation, developing high quality learning environments - Communicate effectively across a wide range of individuals, the public, and health and social care professionals. - Demonstrate inter-personal skills that promote clarity, compassion, empathy, respect and trust
