Job Summary
The post holder will support the clerical team within the Women's and Children's Outpatient and Ultrasound Department. You will be responsible for providing a high quality administration service to support the clinical teams of ultrasound, antenatal, paediatric and gynaecology services.
The post holder will be expected to work as a member of the Women's and Children's team, fulfilling outpatient clerical duties and will work closely in conjunction with the Team Leader and Assistant General Managers to assist with co-ordination of a comprehensive patient-centred ultrasound and outpatient service.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will have a duty to ensure accuracy of confidential, sensitive information and data input. They will ensure high levels of data quality and other aspects of administration and clerical work as required.
This is a role with lots of variety and ad-hoc demands, so the post holder will possess good time management and planning skills, be able to work independently, and will be highly motivated by good practice in relation to patient care/service delivery. The post holder will have the ability to assess, analyse and problem solve self-sufficiently to support patients, visitors and service users in the management of multiple clinical diaries and appointments.

Qualifications
Essential:
* Business and Administration or Customer Care NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience
Desirable:
* ECDL or equivalent
Experience and Knowledge
Essential:
* Experience of dealing with the public in a customer facing or administrative role.
* Some previous experience of working within customer, clerical or reception role.
Desirable:
* Experience of work requiring a methodical and organised approach.
Skills
Essential:
* The ability to communicate and build relationships with others.
* Understanding of the need for confidentiality and information governance in a health care environment.
* Good keyboard and IT skills including Microsoft packages.
* Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
Desirable:
* Good working skill/knowledge of multiple hospital systems ie: Allscripts, E3, Soliton, Kiosk, Outlook.
