We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Clients busy depot in WakefieldAs a Field Service Engineer, you will be expected to support the Depot Foreman with all day-to-day engineering requirements of the depot. In this role, you be predominately field-based, with some yard-based work as and when the business requires.The job comes with a competitive salary, 25 days paid annual leave, plus Bank Holidays. You will also be provided with a company service vehicle, mobile phone and laptop.Pay: £17.25ph for the first 39 hours, 1.5x after 39 hours, 2x for anything after midnight, 2x for Sundays, on call on a 1 out of 4 basis for £150 for the week plus any hours you work on overtime wage (minimum of 4 hours if only takes you 1 hour on call out youll be paid for atleast 4)Responsibilities include (but are not restricted to) the following:Carrying out all servicing and maintenance work on generators both out onsite and in the depotFault finding i.e. Control panel, AC/DC Electrical SystemsMechanical and Electrical repairsGenset SynchronizationOut of hours on call Rota (to include Bank Holidays)Liaising directly with customersDaily defects report for company vehicle roadworthinessCompleting all paperwork associated with equipment maintenance – service sheets, PDI sheets, etc.Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines at all timesDesired skills and experience:We are looking for a well-organised individual who has/is;NVQ in plant maintenance/equivalent in Mechanical EngineeringExperience in the generator/plant hire industryAbility to prioritise workload to ensure weekly service schedules are completed on timeA full UK driving licence is held for a minimum of 3 yearsAbility to work as part of a team and on own initiative with minimum supervisionAble to communicate on all levelsEager to ensure excellent customer service levels at all timesForklift licence preferable (training provided if required)
