Job Description:
Schoen Clinic Newbridge House is an award-winning and specialist Eating Disorder facility based in Streetly, Sutton Coldfield, providing in- and outpatient services to young people aged between 8-18 years. Our unit was rated “Outstanding” by the CQC in 2016 and 2018, and we have received multiple awards including Hospital Group of The Year and Nursing Practice winners in 2019 and 2020. You will work as part of a highly talented multidisciplinary team, providing support to enable young people to recover from their eating disorders.
The role suits highly professional and experienced Staff Nurses who will provide competent and empathetic clinical care to inpatients, following prescribed treatment plans. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating nursing care based on evidence-based practice. A patient-centered approach, working closely with patients and families, is essential.
Shift timings:
* Early - 7:00am-3:00pm
* Late - 1:00pm-9:00pm
* Nights - 8:00pm-8:00am
Principal Duties:
* Contribute to specialist assessment of eating disorders in young people
* Establish therapeutic relationships with patients
* Assist in developing and staffing therapeutic groups
* Maintain supportive relationships with carers and families
* Ensure confidentiality according to GDPR, safeguarding, and professional standards
* Operate within your professional competency
* Participate in multidisciplinary meetings
* Manage therapeutic meal provision
* Administer medicines and handle clinical equipment safely
* Follow safeguarding principles in all interactions
