Key Requirements: Knowledge in a Sales function preferably in a Business-to-Business environment, knowledge of sales and proven track record in achieving sales targets Background in engineering, economics, or equivalent Knowledge of MS Office Excellent written and spoken English Aptitude to find data, and information and to "get informed" Negotiation and communication skills Open to understanding and supporting customer needs Motivated, dynamic and who can work in a team ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY The Inside Sales Engineer plays a fundamental role in achieving the objectives of the development/acquisition of new customers and increasing revenues. Developing sales opportunities through the search and identification of potential customers, soliciting new contacts and building relationships. Proactively establish relationships with potential customers following the agreed sales process using outbound calls, emails Key activities: Within the Regional sales team, manage leads, potential customers and business opportunities in line with the strategy and action plans defined by the company Manage workload and scheduling to ensure sales goals are met through the right mix of outbound calls, lead and opportunity generation, pipeline management, quotes sent, and contracts won Support the management team at client meetings, exhibitions and conferences as and when required Search for new customers, identify key contacts and generate interest in Intertek services Use the network and expand existing networks inside and outside Intertek Proactively maintain and update CRM tools Work with the local teams to compile and complete all RFIs, RFQs and tenders, ensuring all technical and commercial submissions are in line with the clients expectations and are within the commercial parameters set by the company Provide follow-up investigation and report on all bids, quotes, or tenders to ascertain the award status and the reasons affecting clients decisions.
