This unique opportunity allows you to use your skills to provide essential support to older, disabled, and vulnerable individuals who need urgent assistance at home. This role would suit, but not limited to – Care Staff Those looking to work within the NHS Ex Armed Forces / Uniformed Services Retirees As an Emergency Home Responder your primary task will be to respond quickly to emergencies. You'll assess the situation, provide immediate support, and ensure the well-being of those in need. You'll also offer reassurance and comfort to our customers, making them feel safe and secure in difficult moments. What We Offer Comprehensive Training: We provide all the training you need, including First Aid, emergency response, and using specialised lifting equipment. No prior experience? No problem – we’ll equip you with the skills to succeed. Flexible Shifts: Work from home and be on call during your allocated 12-hour shifts. Shifts will be either days or nights including weekends and Bank Holidays. You will be on call 7 or 14 days in 28. You must live within the South Cumbria area to meet our response time targets. Valuable Experience: This role is perfect for drivers and individuals who want to be part of an essential service and gain experience in emergency response. Our teams are made up of a variety of people with different backgrounds and previous experience. Previous experience isn’t essential for the role as training will be given to enable you to become valuable member of our team and provide support to the emergency services. Plus £18.00 per callout for the first 90 minutes. An additional £12.65 per hour for any callouts over 90 minutes. £0.45p per mile car allowance.
