Join Our Team as a Lead Security Officer
Location: Clitheroe
Hours: 42 hours per week (4 Days on, 4 Off or 4 Nights on, 4 Off)
We are seeking an experienced and professional Lead Security Officer to join our team in Clitheroe. If you have a minimum of 2 years’ security experience and hold a valid SIA licence, along with a driving licence and access to your own vehicle, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Job Opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain the security and integrity of the site through regular foot patrols, access control, and identification checks.
* Perform locking and unlocking duties, respond to emergencies, and ensure accurate completion of reports and paperwork.
* Act as a key member of the security team, reporting to the Security Supervisor and handling a variety of duties as required.
* Work in a customer-facing environment, handling situations with politeness, tact, and discretion.
* Monitor and maintain knowledge of Security and Fire Safety systems and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
* SIA licence required.
* 2+ years of security experience (desirable but not essential).
* Valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, colleagues, and the public.
* Physically fit to carry out extended foot patrols and security duties in all weather conditions.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle situations calmly under pressure.
* Competent in using basic computer software (e.g., Word, Excel, Email) and able to learn new tools.
* Good eyesight with normal colour vision for identifying safety signage and other site markings.
Essential Skills
* SIA licence
* Right-to-work and 5 year checkable history
* 2 years security experience would be preferred (Supervisory experience would be a bonus but not essential)
