The Logistics Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation and coordination of logistics and warehouse functions across our four sites: Dunsfold, Windlesham, Towcester, and Hethel. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, components, and finished vehicles while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:
* Oversee day-to-day logistics and warehouse operations across all sites.
* Ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.
* Maintain optimal stock levels and oversee inventory management systems.
* Lead, develop, and motivate warehouse and logistics teams across all locations.
* Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training initiatives.
Logistics Coordination:
* Plan and manage the transportation of goods between sites and external suppliers/customers.
* Liaise with suppliers, partners, and internal departments to optimize supply chain performance.
* Ensure compliance with transportation and import/export regulations.
Process Improvement:
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Utilize data and KPIs to monitor performance and drive decision-making.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
* Ensure all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations.
* Conduct regular audits and risk assessments across all sites.
* Maintain and update relevant documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-site teams.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
* Knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software.
* Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes and just-in-time (JIT) principles is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel between sites regularly.
