About the Role
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and expanding the automation test function within Fraud CIO. You’ll work closely with one of our squads, contributing to the delivery of user stories in an Agile environment with two-week sprints. Your daily stand-ups will involve sharing updates, planning, and addressing any issues that arise.

1. Assessing the suitability of various test automation tools for our needs.
2. Developing robust test automation frameworks
3. Working closely with other Automation Testers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and wider team members to ensure cohesive and effective testing processes
4. Engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate details of the test automation framework
5. Participating in guilds where different role types come together to support each other with ideas and problem-solving.
What you will bring.
6. Solid and proven test automation experience.
7. Solid understanding of coding languages, Java, JavaScript, C, Python
8. Developing test scripts for testing web-based applications from the front-end user interface through to backend and databases
9. Experience writing SQL queries to obtain test data.
10. Automated testing experience with web services, APIs, and web applications.
11. Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using tools such as Gitlab, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.
It would also be nice for you to have.
12. Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE).
13. Understanding of Performance Testing and script design using J-meter.
14. Experience in automated testing of mobile applications.
15. Advanced ISTQB qualifications.
16. A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
17. Experience working in Agile software development.
What else you need to know.
We are currently working in a hybrid model, with a bank asking us to work % of our working weeks in the office. This means that we ask for days a week in our Milton Keynes site, while the rest of the working week is based from home.
