Duties and Key Responsibilities
1. Managing site construction to agreed levels of quality.
2. Assessing site risks and producing comprehensive Health and Safety plans in line with the company Health and Safety Policy.
3. Compliance with requirements of RIDDOR ensuring the Senior Management Team is aware in a timely manner of all incidents, accidents, illness, injuries and dangerous occurrences including near misses.
4. Managing and assessing third party contractors suitability for defined Construction Activities.
5. Keeping the WHP Project Team fully informed of progress on site, reporting and escalation of any issues.
6. Developing relationships with appropriate client representatives including but not limited to, Regional Health and Safety Managers and Quality audit teams.
7. Obtain and utilise expertise in client technical requirements, specs, systems and working practices.
8. Co-ordinating all Build Activities to minimise any necessary outages and disruption.
9. Ensure site is properly planned in Programme of Works and CPHSP is reflective of the required activities.
10. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and QMS Policies.
11. Submission and management of road opening notices and liaising with highways dept.
Qualifications and Experience needed for role:
Essential:
1. Significant Experience in Telecommunications Construction.
Desirable:
1. NWRSA Supervisor Tickets.
2. PIA Accreditations.
3. Team Management Skills.
Skills & Knowledge criteria:
1. Strong track record in customer facing role.
2. Fibre Splicing Experience.
Salary:
£35,000 to £45,000 per annum
