Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Practice Nurse to join a busy multidisciplinary teams at HMP Styal.
The post holder will practice independently and autonomously delivering care and treatment to patients at HMP Styal. The post holder will have gained a wide range of knowledge and clinical skills in a Primary care setting.
We aim to be flexible in matching your availability with our work patterns and the needs of the service and therefore we are also able to offer part time and flexible working options.
Main duties of the job
The role delivers a high standard of care on the treatment of minor illness and minor injury and the post holder will have expertise in the management of long-term conditions such as Diabetes, COPD, asthma, heart disease and support cancer screening services. The post holder will be experienced in the delivery of Public Health England's health promotion programs such as Immunisations, women's health, and lifestyle conditions such as smoking and obesity.
The Senior Practice Nurse will have management, leadership and development responsibilities for the healthcare team.
The post holder will have excellent organisational and time management skills to ensure clinics and services are managed efficiently and effectively, without compromising patient care or safety.

Education and Training
Essential
9. Registered Nurse/1st Degree
10. NMC registered.
11. Post registration Level 3 or 4 qualification in history taking and physical examination skills
12. Non-Medical Prescriber or prepared to work towards
13. Evidence of relevant up to date CPD
14. Diploma in a Long-Term Condition management eg. asthma / diabetes
15. Recent or current experience in Primary Care
16. Experience of developing and delivering training
Desirable
17. Teaching and Assessing qualification
18. Minor illness and minor injury accredited course Level 3 or 4
19. Accredited Family Planning/ sexual Health qualification.
