We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated theatre practitioner to join our theatre team within the Golden Jubilee Hospital as Interim Senior Charge Nurse/Senior Charge ODP. The Golden Jubilee National Hospital 20 theatres; 10 dedicated to Orthopaedic surgery.
About the Role
As the SCN/SCODP, you will be responsible for the daily management of Orthopaedic theatres whilst ensuring patients receive a high standard of safe, effective and person centred care. This involves not only leading the team within theatres but developing close links with in-patient and out-patient wards, the service team and booking office, to enable a smooth patient flow resulting in excellent patient outcomes. You will play a pivotal role in the provision of the Orthopaedic surgery service as we increase the number of theatres utilised.
You should be able to demonstrate a strong track record of leadership and managing a team, particularly through change. A commitment to quality, evidence-based care is essential, whilst having a can-do attitude.
You will be integral in the delivery of the strategic vision and plan for the hospital, particularly in relation to the expansion of the theatre department. As we continue with the major expansion of our services, this is your chance to become part of a progressive, dynamic and person centred team.
Development
We have a dedicated Clinical Education Team within the theatre department, which also works closely with the Leadership Academy, to provide further training and personal and professional development opportunities.
