Fresh Direct is a leading food manufacturing company that values the health, safety, and wellbeing of its employees and visitors. We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular audits, developing and implementing effective health and safety policies, and providing guidance and support to colleagues. You will also maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with experience in a similar role. You will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.
* Provide guidance and training to colleagues on health and safety best practices.
* Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
* Relevant industry-recognized qualification (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH).
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
