We have an exciting opportunity for a Caretaker to join our team at HMP Foston Hall, a category women's prison located in Derbyshire.
Hours:
The site currently offers Monday - Friday: 8am-4pm.
This position is full time; you'll receive an annual salary up to £27,572 per annum - depending on experience.
We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker / Porter to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing essential support to patients and healthcare staff, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role is crucial in enhancing the comfort and well-being of patients while assisting in all logistical tasks within the healthcare facility.

Main duties of the job
As a Caretaker, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Move medical equipment and all supplies across the site to designated areas.
* Work together with other healthcare employees with stock management.
* Monitor and stock medical and non-medical supplies, notifying supervisors of inventory needs.
* Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Maintain clear and compassionate communication with patients regarding services provided.
* Escort visitors to healthcare across the site.
* Deal with patients, healthcare colleagues, and other professionals over the phone and face to face, ensuring that everyone is working in a tidy healthcare area.
