Salary: £80 per day (6 hours a day)
Sussex Teachers are working in partnership with a vibrant 2-form entry primary school in Seaford to find an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a temporary role starting as soon as possible and will run until at least the Christmas holidays.

The school recently achieved a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and offers a curriculum rich in sports, music, and the arts. Set in beautiful grounds, the school provides excellent opportunities for outdoor learning and activities. It is conveniently accessible via public transport from Brighton, Lewes, and Eastbourne.
Role Overview:
As an Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work with children aged 4-5 with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Each day will be unique, focusing on play-based learning activities to support children's development. This role will involve working closely with the class teacher to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering inspiring and inclusive lessons.
* Support the children in developing social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
* Help create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and development.
* Work with children to overcome challenges and grow as enthusiastic learners.
Requirements:
* Recent experience working with children, either within a classroom, nursery, medical or care home setting.
* Teaching children that are enthusiastic and eager to learn.
* Support from a strong, supportive, and committed staff team.
* Specialist support from an education consultant throughout the placement.
* Free access to CPD courses, including Autism Awareness, ADHD Awareness, Equality and Diversity, and Understanding Anxiety.
