An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to be part of a forward-thinking multi-disciplinary adult learning disability health service.
The post is based in one of our multi-disciplinary Community Teams for People with Learning Disabilities (Adults) covering East Surrey with two office bases in Leatherhead and Redhill. There is an expectation to work across the patch. The candidate must have a full and valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
The successful applicant will join a team of Speech and Language Therapists already working in East and West Community Teams as well as in the Neurodevelopmental, Children and Young Person's, Older Age Adults and Forensic services.
Our Speech & Language Therapists are committed to supporting individuals, their support networks and multi-disciplinary colleagues in the promotion of effective communication in a proactive, person-centred way. Another key part of the support to people who use our services is to promote their safe eating and drinking.
There is a robust system for peer support, managerial and clinical supervision. Continued professional development is encouraged and supported through yearly appraisal and six monthly review.

You will need:
* Experience of and specialist skills working with learning disabilities
* Experience of supporting the evaluation of service delivery
* Experience of providing supervision and an interest in developing leadership skills
* Experience in developing and delivering training
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Ability to work flexibly and independently
* Enthusiasm, imagination and initiative
* A full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.

Salary: £39,205 to £47,084 a year including 5% Fringe HCAS, pa, pro rata.
