The Job You’ll Do;
* To ensure that Company Policies, Procedures and Standards are followed to ensure compliance with the relevant specifications and to make decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products.
* To ensure that Factory Personal Hygiene and Safety Regulations are enforced.
* To consult with all relevant parties within the business including suppliers and others concerning quality and safety issues.
* To assist in the daily analytical processes to evaluate compliance and provide support to assist in problem solving concerning quality and safety issues.
* To assist in the assessment of new suppliers, raw materials, product complaint investigations and troubleshooting.
* To establish, maintain and improve supplier relationships and to work with suppliers to improve the materials in terms of suitability, quality, and safety.
* To implement and support and systems and procedures that will assist the site in the management of quality and safety, to train, implement and periodically audit these systems. These systems will include the site Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, Instructions, forms, Product Specifications, Quality Monitoring Schemes as appropriate.
* To monitor raw material complaints and to work with suppliers to solve any problems.
* To monitor the effectiveness of hygiene procedures schedules and cleaning instructions and liaise with the Production Managers regarding any deficiencies and improvements required.
* To escort and assist with external body communications or visits to site, either planned or unannounced.
* To ensure efficient data input into the company traceability system.
* To assist in the review of KPI information and support corrective & preventative actions in terms of quality & safety.
* To liaise with the Management Team.
* To be responsible for the health and safety of employees with particular responsibility for those directly involved with the activities of the jobholder.
* To constantly seek and implement a continuous improvement philosophy in all areas of responsibility, to train and develop others in this philosophy where appropriate.
* To deputise for the Technical Manager as necessary.
About You;
* IT Literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Software (Word, Excel etc.)
* Previous experience within a Quality role (Desirable)
* Desire to learn and develop.
* Strong Work Ethic.
* Skills both verbal and written communication, report writing and presentations.
* Team building and Motivational Skills.
