Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join the Neuropsychology service based at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role will be split 50:50 between Adult Neuropsychology and the NHS Rare Mitochondrial Disorders Service. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and supportive neuropsychology department. This is a dynamic and varied role which will include adult neuropsychological assessment for people with a range of neurological conditions (including epilepsy, MS and dementia) as well as assessment and therapeutic intervention with patients with mitochondrial disorders and their families. You will work closely with the mitochondrial multi-disciplinary team. You will also provide input into the neurology and neurosurgery wards, helping in the assessment and discharge planning of acute inpatients. We welcome applications from both experienced Psychologists and those who have recently qualified. Regular supervision from a qualified Neuropsychologist will be provided and there will be opportunities to learn from other members of the team.
