This is a pivotal role that will shape and drive the finance function to Private Equity standards, ensuring robust financial control, process enhancement, and operational excellence.
The Financial Controller will lead a team of four qualified accountants, act as a champion for the company’s new ERP system (NetSuite), and support FP&A processes. This individual will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality reporting, compliance, and financial governance, aligning finance operations with the company's ambitious international expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of four qualified accountants, ensuring a high-performance finance function.
* Oversee the financial reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financials.
* Drive the transition to Private Equity-grade financial processes, implementing robust controls, efficiencies, and reporting structures.
* Own and optimise the company’s ERP system (NetSuite), ensuring best-in-class financial systems and reporting capabilities.
* Support FP&A processes, providing critical insights to aid strategic decision-making and business performance evaluation.
* Play a key role in the company’s international expansion, ensuring financial compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
* Assist with M&A activities, including financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition financial management.
* Prepare financial statements and work closely with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders.
* Act as a key finance leader in supporting the business through further funding rounds and an eventual exit strategy.
The Requirements
* Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), ideally from a Top 10 firm
* Experience: Strong technical finance background, with prior experience in a high-growth, Private Equity-backed or SaaS environment being highly advantageous.
* Leadership: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a finance team.
* Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and process automation.
* International Exposure: Experience operating in an international business setting, with multi-currency reporting and compliance considerations.
* M&A Exposure: Familiarity with acquisition integration, financial due diligence, and related processes.
* Strategic Mindset: Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level, balancing the demands of a fast-paced, growing organisation.
* High EQ & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a people-centric, collaborative, and fast-moving culture.
