We all play a vital role in energising a greener, fairer future. We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to support the Home Solutions (ASHP and Boilers) part of British Gas. You will focus on driving value through the operational teams and operating cost base. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Home Solutions Finance Partnering Team and get full P&L exposure to the Home Solutions business, as well as exposure to senior stakeholders across British Gas. Your responsibilities will also include: Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Home Solutions business and to get a deep understanding of performance drivers Understand business strategy and its translation into financial impacts, and support its effective communication across Finance Develop understanding of key drivers of revenue and costs, cashflow, and inter-company agreements and transactions Support opex understanding to link spend to outcomes and ensure business case thinking is robust Support the wider finance team and business by providing robust, insight and analysis to drive improvements in financial performance Provide regular key stakeholder briefings Regularly review and report performance against Group Annual Plan & latest forecast, working with the business to analyse financial and operational (value driver) variances and recommend corrective action Maintaining a live risks and opportunities view of the business, helping the business to mitigate the risks and deliver the opportunities Carry out non-standard / bespoke analysis to support business decision making Here\\\'s what we\\\'re looking for: Recognised accountancy qualification or passed finalist Experience of providing commercial analysis and evaluation in a financial planning and analysis or business partnering role Strong IT skills (e.g. SAP, Excel, Power BI) Strong analytical skills with an ability to summarise complex data and matters and communicate effectively Good interpersonal skills and the ability to pro-actively develop positive and highly effective working relationships Motivated by continuous improvement and delivering high quality outputs Ability to identify a problem and think through an approach to develop a solution An interest in automation and use of new tools to analyse data and streamline processes Capable of managing multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment and working to tight deadlines Ability to identify, assess and analyse organisation wide operational risks and controls
