As a key member of Sopra Steria Limited’s Aerospace, Defence, and Security team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge digital solutions that support National Security initiatives in the UK. This position involves taking ownership of system configuration, leading incident management, and ensuring optimal service delivery.

This role requires the successful applicant to undergo UK security vetting clearance or be willing to apply. Based in Gloucester, this is an office-based position offering a unique environment where your expertise can make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the technical configuration and architecture of the system, ensuring seamless integration across all interfaces.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and third-party partners, influencing key decisions to shape service outcomes.
* Lead the team in triaging, investigating, and resolving incidents, changes, and system stories, optimizing resource use for timely resolution.
* Monitor and maintain system health to ensure consistent high-level service delivery.
* Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, including hardware, software, and networking challenges.
* Work within Agile and ITIL frameworks, driving continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
* Ensure robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans are operational.
Requirements:
* Expertise in assessing the impact of new features and operational improvements, ensuring system stability and relevance while effectively influencing key customers.
* Strong knowledge of the DevOps lifecycle, including CI/CD, automation, containerization, and on-premise and cloud platforms.
* Solid foundation in computer networking, including routing, firewalls, and proxies.
* Proficiency in anti-malware agents and IDPS concepts.
* Working knowledge of Linux systems, with a preference for Red Hat.
* Proven experience in mentoring, supporting, and developing team members, fostering growth and collaboration.
* Ability to identify and drive process improvements for greater efficiency and compliance.
