This is an exciting opportunity to join One Manchester as their Director of IT, Data & Performance. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will lead the IT, data, and performance functions to deliver business priorities and objectives. You will shape and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, ensure robust governance, and embed data-led decision-making across the organisation. This is a key role for One Manchester as they look to develop the business to be “fit for the future” and create the best possible customer and colleague experience.
Some responsibilities include:
* Develop and deliver the organisation’s technology strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with One Manchester’s goals.
* Lead the implementation of a comprehensive cyber security strategy.
* Oversee the management and delivery of IT services, ensuring they are customer-focused, secure, and efficient.
* Establish and maintain a robust data management framework, ensuring high standards of data governance and quality.
* Translate data into actionable insights to improve services, customer satisfaction, and business effectiveness.
* Develop and embed a culture of performance management, using KPIs to drive decision-making and resource planning.
* Drive continuous improvement through methodologies such as Lean Thinking or Six Sigma to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
* Advise senior leaders, present to the Board, and collaborate across teams to ensure integration and alignment of IT and data functions with organisational priorities.
* Inspire and motivate colleagues to deliver the operational plan, the achievement of objectives, and the desire to continually develop.
* Provides clear leadership that builds an adult-to-adult environment that is based on trust, mutual respect, integrity, where everyone takes accountability and responsibility at the same time as working together as one team.
One Manchester is looking to appoint a senior leader who has the following attributes:
* Proven experience in a senior leadership role, managing IT, data, and performance functions in a complex organisation.
* Strong track record of leading high-performing, multi-functional teams.
* Expertise in business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
* Certifications in ITIL, CoBIT, or PRINCE2, or equivalent experience.
* Analytical mindset with a focus on innovation and problem-solving.
* Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change, inspire teams, and embed continuous improvement.
* A commitment to One Manchester’s values and a passion for making a difference in the community.
