The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Student Services Officer to work in the Student Services Department. The post holder will work closely with a range of staff to monitor student attendance, punctuality, and provide administrative support to Student Services. You will be required to provide high-level administrative duties and must have excellent verbal, written, and administrative skills, including the ability to work with spreadsheets and analyze data.
The post holder will need an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular, Excel and Outlook. An ability to remain calm when communicating with parents, students, and staff is also essential, along with the ability to multi-task in a busy working environment.
The post is available on a temporary (maternity cover), full-time, term-time plus a week in the College holidays (40 weeks per year). The hours of work are from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday (with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break). The additional week will be agreed with the Line Manager subject to the needs of the Department and may be utilized throughout the year as individual days. However, it is likely that this will be undertaken at the end of August, one week before the College returns for the autumn term.
The post carries an expectation for some occasional mandatory evening activities, including College Information and Open Evenings, for which time off in lieu will be given.
The Department
The post holder will be part of the Student Services team, which consists of 5 members of staff and 3 Receptionists, who work closely as a team in a friendly and cooperative manner.
The post holder will be line managed by the Director of Operations.
The salary for this post is between £23,083.49 (£26,288 FTE) and £23,731.53 (£27,026 FTE) (87.81%).
